CME POINTS

Continuing Education Program

All our Registered Members must accumulate a minimum of 35 CEP points from 

Janurary 1st to December 31st of each year. 

Failure to participate will require the member to complete a recertification exam with an associated fee of $400.00

Points must be submitted no later than December 31st each year.

Categories

Conferences

• Attendance at Regional Symposium- 10 points/day (max of 20 points)
• NAOT Convention- 4 points/day (max of 12 points)
• Chapter sponsored one day workshop- 8 points each
• Orthopaedic related seminars/workshops- 5 points/day (max of 10 points)
• Hospital orthopaedic rounds- 1 point/round (max of 10 points)
• Chapter meeting attendance- 2 points/meeting

Articles

• Article submission- 2 points
• Submission published in BodyCast- 10 points
• Submission published in other journal - 5 points (date and name of journal required)
• Editorial for BodyCast- 5 points
• Educational pamphlet at place of employment- 2 points (copy must be submitted)
• Article published in NewsCast- 5 points

Participation in BodyCast

• Submission of Rounds quiz and Rounds questions - 5 points/quiz
• Answers to Rounds quiz -2 points/submission
• Answers to Rounds response - 2 points/submission
• Answers to X Ray interpretation - 3 points/submission

Participation in NewsCast

• Answers to NewsCast Quiz - 3 points each (max 6 points)
• Submission of NewsCast questions - 5 points each

Presenter/Lecturer

• Lecturer at CSOT regional symposium - 10 points per presentation
• Place of employment presentation (documentation required) - 

                   1 point per presentation

• Chapter meeting presentation - 5 points per presentation
• Lecturer at other conventions/seminars (documentation required)  -

                    5 points/presentation

• Poster Presentation - 5 points
