The 2nd edition of the Guidelines for Orthopaedic Technology (2010) has been published

The guidelines are a valuable source of information addressing specifics such as administration equipment, removal equipment, casting of the upper and lower extremity, total contact casting, removal and bi-valving casts, splinting of the upper and lower extremity, external fixation, staple removal, traction, infection control, latex allergy/sensitivity, wound care, charting documentation and cast care instructions.

Members will receive their first copy free of charge.

Due to cost constraints, the guidelines are only available in English.

The more copies purchased, the cheaper it is per copy.  

About the association

Founded in 1972, the Canadian Society of Orthopaedic Technologists (CSOT), recognized the importance of identifying and credentialling competent Orthopaedic Technologists.
